CASG Elections are now underway!

CASG Executive, Coordinator, Representative and Student Senator Positions are available.

Elections for CASG Executive & Coordinator Positions: 

CASG Elections for Executive and Coordinator positions are currently in progress. In order to be nominated for these positions you must be a current CASG representative or have completed a term at some point during your undergraduate degree. If you have any questions, please contact Katrina Crocker at vpinternal@casg.ca.

The timeline for the election is as follows:
Nomination Period: Open until Tuesday, March 17th at 11:59PM.
Validation Period: Wednesday, March 18th.
Campaign Period: Thursday, March 19th (12:01am) – Sunday, March 22nd (11:59pm)
-This campaign period features a Town Hall presentation on Thursday, March 19th following the final CASG Council meeting of the year, where each candidate will make a presentation and be asked questions of the audience.

Voting Period: This will be conducted via email over the course of four days from Monday, March 23rd to Thursday, March 26th.

In order to nominate yourself for the election, please submit an email stating your:
1) Name;
2) Student number;
3) Position seeking election for; and
4) 100-200 word blurb as to why you are a good candidate to John Mesman at president@casg.ca.

Elections for CASG Department Representatives:

In order to be elected as a representative in the Faculty of Engineering, you must get elected through the Carleton Student Engineering Society

In order to be elected as a representative in the Faculty of Science, you must get elected through the Carleton Science Student Society

All other departmental seats will be elected through CASG’s General Election. This election timeline will likely occur in September 2015.

Elections for Carleton University Senate:

Election for Student Senators for a one-year term beginning July 1st, 2015 has now begun.

All students who have served at least one term as a student representative on CASG are eligible to serve on the Carleton University Senate.

Representatives wishing to serve on Senate next year must contact the CASG President, John Mesman, at president@casg.ca no later than Friday, March 6th, 2015 at 12:00 pm in order to self-nominate.

Upon submission of nomination please include your name, student number, faculty and a short (200 word max) bio for the election.

The timeline for the election is as follows:
Nominations: Monday, March 2nd – Friday, March 6th
Campaigning: March 9th – March 13th
Voting: March 17th – 24th

All voting will occur online, through electronic ballot distributed by the Carleton University Senate Office.
